Calm, familiar, and gentle uplifting live piano music for care homes and residents living with dementia or Alzheimer’s disease.

Music has always been deeply personal to me. Having lost both of my grandads to dementia, and with my lovely Nan currently residing in a care home, I have seen first-hand how transformative familiar melodies can be. Before my grandad went into residential care, I spent hours playing his favourite songs at home - and seeing the immediate peace it brought him stayed with me. My Nan was also my first piano teacher, introducing me to golden-era classics from Frank Sinatra, Elvis Presley, and iconic film scores.

Since 2017, care home visits have remained a core priority in my calendar. Alongside performing at venues and events such as Cliveden House, Four Seasons Hotels, the Lansdowne Club in Mayfair, and hospitality suites at the Wimbledon Championships and RHS Chelsea Flower Show, playing for care home residents remains the most grounding and rewarding music I do.

Each one-hour session is a thoughtful balance of nostalgic sing-alongs (Moon River, Can’t Help Falling in Love, Smile, Pure Imagination) and gentle modern classical melodies designed to settle and soothe. Activity coordinators often note how peaceful residents feel both during and after each visit.

I regularly visit residential, nursing, and dementia care homes across Berkshire and Hampshire, including Reading, Basingstoke, Tadley, Newbury, Andover, Fleet, Hook, and the surrounding areas, as well as Bristol, Bath, Gloucestershire, Clifton, Fishponds, and nearby locations. If your care home is slightly outside these areas, please feel free to ask.

Where possible, I always prefer to use the piano at the care home I’m visiting. However, if there isn’t a suitable piano available, I’m more than happy to bring my own electric piano and full setup for an additional £15 charge.
